Robert Del Monte (Ensemble) is the dean of the Company's ensemble, having served continuously since 1970. Though he has occasionally been seen in such roles as the Foreman in Trial by Jury, the First Gentleman and Go-To in The Mikado and Giorgio in The Gondoliers, he is best known as "the backbone of the Company chorus," and has appeared in that capacity in all 13 surviving Gilbert & Sullivan operas. A resident of Oceanside, he works at the A. Holly Patterson Geriatric Center and is a passionate devotee of opera and the musical theater.
