Andrew Schwartz (The Judge / Ensemble) – Andy is happy to continue his association with GaSLOCoLI in the current revue shows, Trial by Jury and Gilbert & Sullivan's Greatest Hits. He joined the Company in 2003 when he portrayed Pish-Tush in that season's production of The Mikado. He has played Lord Mountararat in Iolanthe, King Gama in Princess Ida, The Duke of Plaza-Toro in The Gondoliers, Sir Joseph Porter K.C.B. in H.M.S. Pinafore and Lieutenant Cholmondeley in The Yeomen of the Guard. He was also seen as Lewis Carroll in the 50th anniversary production of Very Truly Yours, Gilbert & Sullivan. He has recently "branched out" to include serious theater by playing the Judge (yes! another judge) in a local production of Inherit the Wind.

Andy has been an inveterate lover of the Savoy operas since being introduced to them as a small child, and in an earlier life played Dick Deadeye in H.M.S. Pinafore and the Sergeant in The Pirates of Penzance.

He currently sings with the choir of St. James United Methodist Church in Lynbrook, and lists among his other musical accomplishments the ability to play the recorder (all voices), the guitar and the BBb tuba. He studied recorder, voice and the lute while at the Institute for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at CCNY, but that was many years ago, when he was young but alas, not very charming.

Andy is the Company's webmaster. He was also tempted to use the word "invertebrate" in the second paragraph, above. All my love to Babycakes.
