Robert H. Fischer (Ensemble) was born in Rockville Centre, Long Island on March 26, 1942, and owns his own business. He's married with four sons, three daughters, ten grandchildren and twins on the way. He debuted with GaSLOCoLI in 2010 as a chorus member in The Pirates of Penzance. He has been singing with the Church choir for 15 years and was recently invited by his choir director, Lily Grehan, to join the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island. His only previous experience with operas was in 1954 when he was twelve years old. He was chosen to sing in the children's chorus for Carmen, performed by the Hempstead High School orchestra led by the famous Archie Blier. The lead roles were sung by Marion Marlow and Julius LaRosa who were very popular singers of the 1950's. He was also a member of the Islip Barber Shop Chorus in the 1970's.
