Daniel Kravetz (Conductor) - Daniel is returning to GaSLOCoLI as Music Director this season after serving in that capacity in 1998 for The Yeomen of the Guard. In the interim, he was Music Director of the Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, in New Jersey, for ten consecutive seasons. He has produced and conducted concerts at the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of New York for 35 years, including performances of all 13 G&S operas and of several works by Arthur Sullivan with other librettists, and has had guest conducting engagements in Philadelphia, Toronto, Rockville MD and Gettysburg PA. He has also served the G&S Society as President for four terms, and as editor of its newsletter "The Palace Peeper." Dan is a graduate of New York's High School of Music and Art and Stanford University; on the rare occasion that he isn't conducting G&S, he plays the cello in orchestras and chamber ensembles and appears in piano and song recitals as a page-turner.
